This Saturday evening concert is the last event of a conference, “Ibn ’Arabi and Rumi: Teachings for a Modern World,” cosponsored by the Open Center and the Middle East Institute at Columbia University. Salman Ahmad, billed as a Sufi rock star, will begin at 7:30 and play for 30-45 minutes. Then a 15 minute break. Then David Darling and I go for about 30-45 minutes, ending about 9:15 pm. For conference attendees the concert ticket is $18. For non-conference attendees, $28.
